iBall Andi 4Di was released back in July and now iBall is back with an upgraded version of this phone, iBall Andi 4Di+ priced at Rs. 6,399. We can see the trend of various upgraded versions of budget phones being launched with MT6572 dual core processor and iBall Andi 4Di+ is the upgraded offering from iBall.
The display is 4 inch in size which is pretty usable with WVGA resolution, leading 233 ppi, which is similar to the predecessor device. The display is pretty good on paper as per the price range.
The phone is powered by 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 architecture based Dual Core processor which is backed by 512 MB RAM. The internal memory is 4 GB and can be extended to 32 GB. The chipset specifications are the standard and up to the mark considering what everyone else is offering in this price range.
The primary camera is of 5 MP and comes with LED flash. The secondary camera is a VGA camera which can be used for video calling. The android 4.2 jelly bean operating system is what you will get on the software front and will offer good android experience.
The battery capacity is 1700 mAh which is above average considering the price range and is similar to the predecessor phone. The connectivity features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS.
So basically what you are getting more in this upgraded version is new 1.3 Dual core processor based on Cortex A7 architecture replacing the 1 GHz single core processor based on Cortex A9 architecture. It remains to be seen if this can provide with a significant change in performance. This phone will compete against phones like Micromax Canvas Fun A63, Xolo A500S and Intex Cloud Y4.
