New iPhone 8 leaked video features a working device

As the launch of the much-awaited flagship from Apple is getting near, leaks and teasers are flooding the internet. But, this time a video has surfaced on the internet which might confirm the exact design of the iPhone 8. We have seen a lot of dummy models that claimed the design of the upcoming iPhone 8, but, this is the first time that a video has reflected the actual working display of an iPhone 8 and which confirms the previous speculations right.

Claiming that video is fake will be a tough task as it reflects much part of the iPhone which we already know is going to be there in the production model. Although, the phone in the video resembles a lot more like the leaked design images of iPhone 8, there are a number of red flags that should be highlighted here.

The videos has been shot in a dull and low light condition and hence the clear footage of the device cannot be seen. There might be chances that it is a look alike phone as the branding is also not visible, we can just the display.

The display itself certainly looks the part, we can see the notch cut out of the top of the screen, which is how Apple is accommodating the speaker, front-facing camera, and sensors in its otherwise bezel-less design.

Another important aspect to be noted here is that the aspect ratio of the display looks 18:9 which was never the case with any of the iOS devices before. There are a number of launcher apps in the market that work to make the Android’s interface look like iOS and there are chances that such apps could have been used to make this video.

The other major indicators are the signal strength and the Wi-Fi icons that are seen at the top right corner of the display. While, iOS devices feature both these signals on the top left corner. However, this does not confirm that the phone in the video is an Android device as Apple is expected to make some adjustments to the status bar and make some adjustments to the cellular and Wi-Fi info. That said, we can clearly see the time in the top-left corner, as the center of the status bar has been removed now.

So, it’s possible that the video is the real deal and we have actually witnessed a working iPhone 8 for the first time. Let’s see what Apple unveils after 8 days at the launch event of iPhone 8.
