Reliance Jio was in the news for a massive database leak and now, police have arrested a suspected man in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. The arrested person is suspected to have a major role in the leak of the Reliance Jio customer database. Reliance has confirmed that it has started investigating on this front.
Reliance was working with law enforcement agencies to investigate the alleged leak, which cyber security analysts say could be the largest data leak from any Indian telecom service provider. Another person, who is a proprietor of a local internet service provider in Sujangarh, where Chhimpa was a customer, confirmed that he has been detained.
