JioMoney Can Now Be Used to Pay for Your Uber Rides

Reliance Jio has now made a habit of always remaining on the news. The Reliance-owned company has collaborated with Uber to make JioMoney as one of the payment media for the cab aggregator. So, apart from Paytm, Airtel Money or Credit/Debit cards, you can now use JioMoney to pay for your taxi rides.

Reliance Jio and Uber will use the brand new partnership for the benefit of both. At the moment, the cab operator will add JioMoney to the payment method in its application. But, soon you will also be able to book an Uber directly through the JioMoney app. To celebrate this new collaboration, the companies are offering a free BookMyShow discount voucher for first-time users.

Commenting on the new partnership, the Chief Business Officer of Uber for India and Emerging Markets, Madhu Kannan said, “We are delighted to partner with Reliance Jio to unlock synergies across two of the largest user bases in India. Digital payments have become part of our everyday lives, and by integrating JioMoney as a payment option, our riders will have the ability to use a familiar and consistent payment experience.”

The Business Head of JioMoney, Anirban S Mukherjee also commented, “JioMoney’s integration with Uber will power the rapid migration of many more Uber transactions to the digital platform.”

How To Use JioMoney To Pay For Uber

If you want to use JioMoney to pay for your Uber rides, then follow the following steps:

  1. Go to the menu option of your Uber app and click on ‘Payment.’
  2. Next tap on ‘Add Payment ‘
  3. Then choose JioMoney and follow the necessary instructions.

If you pay for Uber using JioMoney for the first time, you will get a Rs. 100 BookMyShow discount voucher. Just remember that the first transaction must happen before March 16, 2017.
