Karbonn recently launched Karbonn smart A34, a dual SIM tablet with a 7 inch screen, a 1GHz cortex A9 processor along with other basic features of a tablet. This tablet is yet another addition to overcrowded budget tablet market in India including Lava Etab Xtron plus, Micromax Funbook Talk P362 and many more but no feature that is particularly venerable.
Let’s take a look at the specs of this budget tablet. This Tab offers a medium size 7 inch capacitive touch screen with 800 x 480 pixels, which gives a pixel density of approx 133 pixels per inch which is average, yet standard in this price range tablets along with pinch to zoom feature. This device employs a 1 GHz cortex A9 processor, the number of cores or the manufacturing company of the processor is not mentioned. 1 GHz processor will be sufficient for general purposes for which such low budget tabs are usually intended.
Battery capacity of this tab is rated 3000mAh which, with a 7 inch screen size, will support you for 4 to 5 hours which is not much but is in range of what other similar low budget tabs offer. If you are a voracious user then remember to carry your charger with you for mid-day charging.The primary camera of the device is 2 MP which is again standard in this price range. A front camera of 0.3 MP is also available for those interested in video calling.
The O.S. used is android 4.0 (ice cream sandwich ) powered by a 512 MB RAM , which will again be sufficient for general purpose use but is below par comparative to other similar tabs like Micromax Funbook Talk P362 and Solar Pro Tab HD Tablet which offer 1GB ram. The device has an internal storage memory of 2 GB extendable to 32GB using a microSD card.
As far as connectivity specs are concerned, It has two SIM slots, both GSM unlike Karbonn A 37 which has one 3G SIM slot and one GSM slot. Weather you can access 3G using a 3G dongle is not yet clear. You can also access high speed internet using Wi-Fi connectivity. Tab also supports Bluetooth (A2DP) .Karbonn A34 Supports only 4 video formats (AVI, 3GP, MPG, MP4) and one audio format (mp 3)
Over all, it’s another low budget tablet which brings nothing extraordinary to the table but will suffice for general purpose usage. Karbonn A34 is priced at 6999 INR and is available on Flipkart.
