Lava has teased Lava Iris Pro series in a TV commercial confirming its availability from 25th August onwards. The teasers also appeared on Lava’s official Facebook page and Youtube channel. The strategy adopted by Lava seems similar to that of Micromax prior to the release of Micromax Canvas 4 which failed to deliver after creating a lot of Hype. Micromax had to bear the brunt of high expectations.

Will this be a polished Lava Iris 504Q or a new Flagship device from Lava with improved specifications and features? Well we will have to wait and watch. The phone comes with a similar MediaTek MT6589 Quad core processor clocked at a frequency of 1.2 GHz, which is not very exciting these days and is also the processor used in their present flagship device Lava Iris 504Q.

The Built Quality of this phone is where we expect to see rousing progress. The tagline of “We put the Art In Smart” in itself implies that the phone will have an improved beautiful body design. The teaser boasts of a sleek design with new and improved built quality.

The display of this phone is also expected to be more than 5 Inch. It is expected to be in the phablet range of 5.3 to 5.7 Inch. The resolution of this display remains same as that of Lava Iris 504Q, that is 720p HD. The camera specifications have not been disclosed yet, although we see a dual LED flash with the primary camera.

Micromax Canvas 4 also features a similar enhanced built quality over its predecessor Canvas HD, with little improvement in hardware specifications. This did create a ripple of disappointment among consumers who cancelled their preorders. Those the Buzz this time around is not that high and consumers are more likely to appreciate the improved body design in this new Iris Pro series. You can look at the Commercial of Lava Iris Pro series, mentioning its availability from 25th August onwards. Since it sports MT6589 Processor we can expect it to be priced under 18,000 INR
