Lenovo A5 with 18:9 display, 4000mAh battery launched in India for Rs. 5,999

Alongside K9, Lenovo also launched another budget phones Lenovo A5 in India today. The key features of the budget phone include an 18:9 display, MediaTek MT6739 SoC with up to 3GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, face unlock feature and a 4000mAh battery.

Lenovo has already introduced the A5 in China back in June. The Lenovo A5 price in India starts at Rs. 5,999 and it will be available via Flipkart soon.

Lenovo A5 Specifications

The Lenovo A5 sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (1440 × 720 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6739 processor. It comes with 2GB RAM+16GB storage and 3GB RAM+32GB storage options. The storage is expandable up to 256GB and sports dedicated microSD card slot.

The dual SIM phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. It packs a big 4000mAh battery.


In terms of optics, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture. Up front, it has an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. There is a back-mounted fingerprint sensor. Dimensions of the phone are 158.3 × 76.7 × 8.5mma and its weight is 176g.

Price, availability

The Lenovo A5 is priced at Rs. 5,999 for the 2GB+16GB version and the 3GB+32GB version costs Rs. 6,999. It comes in Black and Gold colors and will be available exclusively via Flipkart.
