CES 2015: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook Goes Official

Lenovo, the leading manufacturer of PC computing solutions announced the ThinkPad X1 Carbon at the CES 2015 tech show. The device becomes the lightest 14 inch performance ultrabook in the world and it comes equipped with the latest technology. Alongside this ultrabook, Lenovo also introduced the ThinkVision X24 ultra thin IPS panel technology and ThinkPad Stack providing interlocking accessories to enhance productivity and reduce clutter.

Talking about the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the ultrabook features a super bright FHD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution for the best viewing experience. There is a device comes in two variants – 256 GB and 512 GB PCIe SSD drives for 80 percent faster storage performance than the standard SSDs and up to 8 GB of RAM.

Interestingly, the third generation ThinkPad ultrabook comes with a more capable battery that can render a better battery life, but is still measures only 2.9 pounds with a durable and rugged carbon forged chassis. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon comes equipped with the fifth generation Intel Core processor.

The ThinkVision X24 IPS technology features the next generation Neo Blade 23.8 inch panel with a unique pre-coated metal surface technology. This IPS panel includes highlights such as Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees. It also features DisplayPort or HDMI for digital connectivity and it stylish and sturdy despite rendering an ergonomic viewing experience.

ThinkPad Slack is a series of stackable add-ons that packs 1 TB of USB 3.0 hard drive for a huge expansion possibility priced at $200, a wireless access point ensuring a strong and stable Wi-Fi connectivity on the go, a Bluetooth speaker to extend the audio playback and a 10,000 mAh power bank to power up smartphones and tablets priced at $50.
