Lenovo has launched its unique layered design Vibe X2 in India for 19,999 INR. Considering the hardware on board, this is an aggressive price and the Vibe X2 will be available starting November 10 on Flipkart.
The IPS LCD Display panel is 5 Inches in size and sports good colors and viewing angles. At the heart of the device is present, MT6595 2 GHz octa core SoC based on ARM big. LITTLE architecture (2 GHz 4 cortex A17 + 1.6 GHz 4 Cortex A7) backed by 2 GB RAM, PowerVR G600 and 32 GB non expandable storage.
For Photography enthusiasts, there is a 13 MP rear camera, with LED flash and a 5 MP selfie snapper at the front. You can record up to 1080p Full HD videos. Software is Android 4.4 KitKat with heavy Vibe ROM on top. All Vibe Z2 features have been passed on to Vibe X2 as well.
The 2300 mAh battery powering the device is not user replaceable. Lenovo claims 17 hours of 2 G talk time and 228 hours of 2G standby times, which sounds great. Other features include Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, Micro USB, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, WiFi, GPS and GLONASS.
The layered design paves way for a fourth battery layer or ‘Xtension’. In India, Battery Xtension will be available for 2000 INR. The click on Xtension is 5.1 mm thick and will increase the battery backup by 75 percent. Vibe X2 will primarily rival Huawei Honor 6 in India.
