While it’s only a few hours left for the official unveiling of the upcoming flagship phone – LG G3, the leaks throwing light on the handset seem not to rest. Now, it is the official product listing made on the LG Netherlands website that has listed some of the specifications, features and shots of the handset before the official launch event. Within a short while the page has been removed, however a cached copy of the same has been captured by Engadget.
Talking about the features of the LG G3 as per this listing, the handset will arrive with the previously rumored 5.5 inch AH-IPS LCD QHD display boasting a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and will feature a 13 MP primary camera with OIS+, dual LED flash, laser auto focus and the all new ‘Touch & Shoot’ camera UI. The handset will be coming with a lightweight metallic casing instead of the brushed metal finish and house a 3,000 mAh battery.
In addition to these, the LG G3 is also claimed to come with Knock Code, smart notifications, new slim keyboard, minimalist user interface, wireless charger with stand, special file management features, removable battery and a QuickCircle apps such as clock, messages, dialer, call log, music player and settings shortcut.
This listing of the features of LG G3 was put up on the LG Netherlands website soon after the LG UK website launched the PDF page with all the possible specifications of the forthcoming flagship phone. The specifications as leaked by the PDF page suggest that the LG G3 will run on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 2.46 GHz and 16 GB of internal storage. The display, camera and battery are the same as rumored before. Also, the device is tipped to have connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS.
Further, the specs revealed by the LG UK website do make it clear that the South Korean tech firm will be launching two variants of the LG G3 – one with 2 GB of RAM with cheaper plastic build and the other with 3 GB of RAM boasting premium metallic body.
In a different leak the LG G3 got leaked besides the HTC’s flagship phone – HTC One M8. One of the images that popped up show the upper rear half of these phones and the other shows the entire back panel. Leaked by PhoneArena, these images clearly show the laser auto focus in the LG offering and this is expected to provide better focus and enhanced low-light performance.
Anyways, we will get to know all the aspects about the LG G3 at the today’s launch event that will be happening in six cities across the world. Stay tuned as we will provide you with more updates on the same.
