LG G6 Mini With 5.3-inch 18:9 Display May Launch as LG Q6

LG Q6 is rumored to be the upcoming midrange smartphone with an 18:9 display. This is allegedly the renamed variant of the LG G6 Mini. Initially reported by the Technobuffalo, the trimmed down version of the LG G6 has just been confirmed by the popular Twitter tipster – Evan Blass. The LG Q6 is presumed to come with a 13 MP rear camera and 3GB of RAM.

LG Q6 Specifications

Speaking of the specifications, there is very little info available for the forthcoming LG phone. We only know that the Q9 will come with inferior specifications than the LG G6. The former would also lose the dual camera setup of the latter. Instead, a single 13 MP unit will sit at the back. A fingerprint scanner should be there though.

The LG G6 Mini aka the LG Q9 may feature one of the Snapdragon 600-series SoCs. This would be combined with a decent 3 GB of RAM. Coming to the display, it will be a 5.3-inch IPS LCD panel with almost 80 percent screen to body ratio. According to the FCC listing, the Q9 would measure 142.5 mm x 69.3 mm in length and width respectively. The screen diagonal shall be 5.315-inch (135 mm). Some sources claim that a 2900mAh battery will juice up the upcoming smartphone.

Connectivity-wise, the LG Q9 would support 4G LTE, dual band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, etc. Talking of pricing, the handset would certainly cost lesser than the LG G6. However, we are yet to have any exact number. The renamed G6 Mini should launch within a couple of months in various countries including India.
