LG Launches Ultra HD TV Lineup and WebOS Based Smart TV Starting from 82,999 INR

Lately, LG Electronics announced the launch of the world’s first curved OLED technology in India. Following this, at the Indian Gadget Expo, the firm has now unveiled a comprehensive lineup of Ultra HD TV alongside the first ever smart LED TV based on Web OS technology.

The new Ultra HD TV delivers exceptional picture quality that is harmonized with the rich audio output produced by the front-facing 5.2 multi-channel sound system created in collaboration with Harman Kardon. Also, the device incorporates the new LG Surround Sound concept to deliver an exceptional auditory experience that provides the users can all new experience.

The LG Ultra HD TV incorporates IPS display panel that provide extraordinary color accuracy and excellent picture quality with limited color distortion. The Ultra Pro Engine Pro provides enough processing power that is needed to achieve the 4K resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a chip that functions in union with the Pro Engine to eradicate the visual artifacts. Also, this Engine supports the 4K Motion Estimation Motion Compensation (MEMC) technology, which ensures that the 4K Ultra HD content is free of motion blur and life-like.

The Cinema 3D technology will provide the most immersive viewing experience with realistic 3D effect. The LG Ultra HD TV UB9800 has sophisticated up-scaling feature that takes the SD, HD or FHD content to almost Ultra HD quality.


LG has also announced the world’s first Smart TV with Full HD Cinema 3D and Smart LED Screen based on WebOS platform with the Launcher Menu interface holding many entertainment options. The LG’s Web OS TV features an intuitive user interface that is simple and straightforward to use. This TV has an ultra slim profile, finger gesture control and cinema screen design.

The Launcher has an integrated 3D World, a Web Browser and LG App Store with latest movies, television shows and games. The Launcher is a left-to-right scrollable menu that makes it possible to switch between the content such as movies, games, apps and others stored on the connected devices. The Live Menu feature allows users to browse channels, search for content and view recommendations and the Today Menu provides a real time selection for the most popular content.

It is claimed by LG that the WebOS platform will provide the smoothest and the most convenient smart TV experience to the users. The Magic Remote allows users to search content and enjoy watching it within easy clicks.

The WebOS Cinema 3D TV is available different size options such as 42, 47, 55 and 65 inches and they are priced in the range of Rs 82,900 to Rs 15 Lakhs.
