List Of Smartphones Launching In November, December 2016

The Indian smartphone industry has been flooded with some really good smartphones for the last few years now. Access to abundant customers who are young and upgrading from feature phones to smartphones has attracted a lot of Android OEMs. With a lot of companies vying to attract customers and gain more marketshare, we have a lot of very good value for money smartphones set to be launched soon.

Let’s take a look at some of the devices that will be launched in India in November and December 2016.

Lenovo K6 Power – 29 Nov

Specs: The Lenovo K6 Power comes with a 5 inch full HD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, 2 GB / 3 GB RAM, with 16 GB / 32 GB internal storage and microSD card support. Camera wise, it comes with a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8 MP front camera. Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, fingerprint sensor and a 4000 mAh battery round off the specs.

Price – Rs. 10-15,000 expected


Coolpad Mega 3 – 30 Nov Confirmed

Specs: The Coolpad Mega 3 has been confirmed to launch on 30th November. Apart from that, not much is known about the device.

Coolpad Note 3S – 30 Nov Confirmed

Specs – The Coolpad Note 3S has been confirmed to launch on 30th November. Apart from that, not much is known about the device.

LeEco New Budget TV in December

LeEco is expected to launch new budget TVs in December in India. While the LeEco SuperTV series was priced starting at around Rs. 60,000, the new LeEco TVs will be more budget friendly. Keep an eye out for them if you’re looking to buy a new TV soon.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 – December, 1st or 2nd week

Specs – The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display, an octa-core Mediatek Helio P20 processor, 2 GB / 3 GB RAM, with 16 GB / 32 GB internal storage and microSD card support. Camera wise, it comes with a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front camera. Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, fingerprint sensor and a 4100 mAh battery round off the specs.

Note that it is expected to launch with a Qualcomm SoC in India, most likely Snapdragon 650/652.

Price – Rs. 10-13,000 expected

Samsung J3 2017 – December/January

Specs – The initial leaks of Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) point at a 5 inch HD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and microSD card support. Camera wise, it may come with a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2 MP front camera. 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1 round off the specs.

Price – below Rs. 10,000 expected

HTC Desire 10 Pro

Specs – The HTC Desire 10 Pro was launched in India today with a 5.5 inch full HD display, an octa-core Mediatek Helio P10 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and microSD card support. Camera wise, it comes with a 20 MP rear camera with LED flash, Laser Autofocus, EIS and a 13 MP front camera. Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, fingerprint sensor and a 3000 mAh battery round off the specs.

Price – Rs. 26,490

HTC 10 Evo / HTC Bolt – in December

Specs – The HTC 10 Evo was shown off alongside the Desire 10 Pro in India today with a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and microSD card support. Camera wise, it comes with a 16 MP rear camera with dual LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus, OIS and an 8 MP front camera. 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, fingerprint sensor and a 3200 mAh battery round off the specs.

Price – Unknown, expected Rs. 40-45,000

OnePlus 3T – 2 December

Specs – The OnePlus 3T comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 6 GB RAM with 64 GB / 128 GB internal storage, but no microSD card support. Camera wise, it comes with a 16 MP rear camera with LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus, OIS and a 16 MP front camera. Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C connector, fingerprint sensor and a 3400 mAh battery round off the specs.

Price – Rs. 28-30,000 expected

Conclusion

With the competition increasing in the Indian smartphone industry, all these new upcoming launches range from Rs. 7,000-50,000. Indian consumers have a very diverse set of options, with companies like Samsung, HTC, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Coolpad and even LeEco vying for marketshare.

LeEco deserved a special mention here despite the upcoming launch being a smart TV, but some rumours also suggest that we could see them launch a new smartphone in collaboration with Coolpad. We are not a 100% sure about its India launch, but keep checking back for more information.
