Meizu Pro 7 And Pro 7 Plus Launched With Dual Display, Dual Camera

Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has unveiled Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus. Both smartphones feature a secondary Super AMOLED display at the back. The devices feature Dual cameras from Sony, MediaTek processors and up to 4GB And 6GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB ROM. The Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus run on Flyme OS skinned Android 7.0 Nougat.

Coming to the Meizu Pro 7 first, we see a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920x1080p) resolution. The Pro 7 Plus features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560x1440p resolution. Both phones have a second display at the back, which is a 2-inch Super AMOLED panel.

Talking about cameras, both the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus come with the same camera setup. They pack a Dual camera setup with 2 Sony lenses of 12MP each. One is a RGB and the other lens is a monochrome one. Both have an aperture of f/2.0. The front camera comes with a 16 MP lens for both devices.

Coming to hardware, this is where the difference come out. The Meizu Pro 7 comes with a MediaTek Helio P25 processor. Meizu Pro 7 Plus, on the other hand, is the first phone to feature MediaTek Helio X30 processor which comes with 10 cores.


On the RAM and ROM front, the Meizu Pro 7 has a 4GB/64GB combination, and the Pro 7 Plus packs 6GB/128GB RAM and ROM. The second display is an interesting addition. It is a 2 inch Super AMOLED panel which has certain shortcuts. It can be used for music player controls as well as to click selfies using the main camera, which is cool.

Looking at the battery, the Meizu Pro 7 packs a 3000mAh battery with mCharge 3.0 for fast charging. The Pro 7 Plus features a bigger 3500mAh battery with the latest mCharge 4.0, while charges the phone 67% in just 30 minutes.

For connectivity, both phones have a USB Type-C port, NFC connectivity, Dual SIM support and a 3.5mm earphone jack.

Pricing and Availability

The Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus will be available from August 5 this year. The Meizu Pro 7 is priced at $430 (approx. Rs. 27,500) and the Pro 7 Plus is priced at $530 (approx. Rs. 33,999).
