Also, as per an earlier statement by VP and MD of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar, we may soon see Mi stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The company is reported to be aiming at opening 100 Mi Home stores across India in the coming two years.

Xiaomi Preferred Stores

Apart from the Mi Home stores, Xiaomi is rapidly expanding its offline presence. We can see Xiaomi ‘Preferred Stores’ rapidly increasing across the country. The Chinese smartphone maker earlier made the Redmi 3S Plus an Offline exclusive.

The Indian market is now witnessing a balance between online and offline retail. Earlier we saw smartphones being available as ‘Online Exclusives’. Now, we can see brands aiming to increase their offline presence too.

Currently, Vivo, Oppo and Samsung have a good presence in the offline market and enjoy the majority share in the offline market.
