Nothing extraordinary in the specs sheet, the phone comes with a quad core processor and sports a 5 inch screen like many of its relatives, distant and close. The 5 inch panel on the phone gets a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, which sits midway between a full HD and a 720p HD panel. Other specifications of the phone include the quad-core MT6582M chipset from popular chipset fabricator MediaTek which is accompanied by 1GB of RAM.

The device features 4GB ROM like most other MediaTek powered smartphones in its league, and has a microSD slot that accepts cards up to 32GB. The phone also features a 2,000mAh battery and comes with an 8MP rear and a 2MP front-facing shooter. On the connectivity front, the phone does 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB.

The device goes for 12,999 INR.

  1. Hi Yash

I am looking for a sub10-12k android phone and the requirement is a 5″ screen, 1 GB RAM, Quad core, better battery. If it has a scratch resistant screen and DLNA then it will be an added advantage. I could not see major differences between Canvas 2 plus and 2.2 A114 models except for the processor speed and the Qhd screen.

I am getting mixed reviews about Micromax HD (flickery screen) and Xolo. Many are saying Xolo has a very poor service. I have read your website reviews on Micromax Canvas2Plus & A114, Spice Stellar Pinnacle 535 and Xolo devices. None in the friend circle is sure about the Spice phone which has a non-HD screen but has better specs that any other in the non-HD screen segment. What is your view on the recently launched Xolo Opus and Iball Quadro Andi 5H with respect to longevity, durability and service. Any known issues with these.

I am seeking your help in deciding the phone for myself. Many thanks in advance.
