Although there is no official word yet on Android 4.4 KitKat update on Canvas series, but Micromax is sure on a kitkat launch spree in entry level market. After Micromax Unite 2 and Canvas Engage, Micromax will soon present Canvas A105, with quad core chipset at Unite 2 price of 6,999 INR.
The phone will feature the same WVGA resolution but on a larger 5 inch display. Canvas A105 also features 1.2 GHz quad core chipset (we are guessing Broadcom BC23550) backed by 512 MB RAM. Internal storage is 4 GB and can be expanded further using MicroSD support.
Imaging hardware includes 5 MP rear shooter with LED Flash support and a VGA front camera for basic video calling. Battery capacity is 1900 mAh and it will last for only 5 hours of talk time and 150 hours of standby time. Other features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP, and GPS. Canvas A105 is 10.5 mm thick and slightly heavy at 180 grams.
Micromax Unite 2 launched at the same price bears better hardware with double the amount of RAM, but Micromax Unite 2 is selling for more than 8K at most major retailers as of now and Canvas A105 also comes with increased display size.
