Micromax Canvas A82 Launched for 5,499 INR, Exclusive to HomeShop18

Leading India based smartphone maker Micromax is in the headlines for the flash sale of Yureka based on Cyanogen OS. In the meantime, the vendor has announced a new smarphone in the Canvas lineup called Canvas A82 that is priced at Rs 5,499 alongside seven new Spice phones exclusively via HomeShop18. The online retailer has confirmed that the sales of Celkon Campus A356 will debut soon.

When it comes to the technical details of the Micromax Canvas A82 that is fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat, the device is fitted with a 5 inch display with a FWVGA screen resolution of 854×480 pixels. The handset is powered by a dual core processor of unspecified chipset with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz supplemented with a paltry 512 MB of RAM.

For imaging, the Canvas A82 boasts of a 5 MP main camera at its back teamed up with LED flash for an enhanced low light performance and a VGA front facing selfie snapper for video conferencing. Storage aspects of the smartphone include 4 GB of native memory capacity that can be extended further by another 32 GB using a micro SD card. Other goodies onboard the device are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual SIM support and GPS for connectivity and a 1,800 mAh battery to energize the Canvas A82.

From these specifications, it can be easily figured out that the Canvas A82 carries similar aspects as the Canvas A1 Android One smartphone. The differences are that the Android One offering comes with a quad core processor paired with 1 GB of rAM and features a 2 MP front facing snapper onboard.
