Micromax’s new warrior, the Canvas Knight 2 has now been officially launched at 16,299 INR. The front and back surface is made from glass, and apparently Micromax has used metal on the side edges to give it a premium feel. Reportedly, this 4G handset is quite slim with a waistline of 6.3 mm.

Micromax traditionally sticks to MediaTek chips, even in flagship phones, but this time the manufacturer has used Qualcomm’s notorious Snapdragon 615 64 bit Octa Core CPU instead of its arch rival MT6752. There is 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, which can be further increased by using a MicroSD card slot.

The 13 MP rear camera has Sony IMX214 sensor (same sensor as in Xiaomi Mi4 or OnePlus One) and 5p lens. The front 5 MP selfie camera also comes with the same lens. You can record full HD videos from the rear camera.
Other features include Android 5.0 Lollipop based software, Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo WM8998 audio, Several pre-installed apps and 4G support on both SIM cards. Battery capacity is 2260 mAh and Micormax claims maximum 7 hours and 45 minutes of talk time, and 335 hours of standby time.
The handset will be available starting from 10th June, 2015. Launch. Micromax is offering a free 4G Airtel SIM, along with Airtel 4G Double data offer if users activate the 4G SIM card.
