Micromax Canvas Knight A350 Gold with 2GHz octa-core Processor Officially launched in Russia

Update: 25/1/14 Micromax A350 Canvas Knight Gold has been officially launched in Russia. The battery capacity, which wasn’t mentioned in the leaks is 2350 mAh. Rest of the leaked specs are spot on.

Domestic manufacture Micromax seems to be in no mood to give in to the competition coming in from neighbours, China. According to a leaked piece from notorious leakster MMXnewscaster, the wily manufacturer from India is up to something which the country hasn’t witnessed yet.

The device, that goes by the name of Micromax Canvas Knight A350, will reportedly feature an octa-core chipset  clocked at 2GHz. We believe this is the 2GHz variant of the MT6592 from MediaTek. Until now, we’ve only seen devices powered by the slower, 1.7GHz variant. This could very well mean that the Micromax Canvas Knight will be the first phone in India to sport the 2GHz MT6592.

Other specifications mentioned by MMXnewscaster in the leak include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board ROM, and a 5 inch full HD screen in true flagship spirit. What is most heartening to see is the fact that a device with a good amount of storage is finally expected. On the imaging front, the A350 is expected to carry a 16MP rear camera along with a 5MP front shooter. According to sources, 16MP is the best that the M6592 can handle, so the A350 will be ‘maxxing’ it out in a way.

Since a device has to look good to survive in the competitive market, the A350 is expected to feature 7.3mm of thickness which should make even an iPhone green in envy.

That’s pretty much all we have on the device for the moment, stay tuned for more info on the octa-core Micromax Canvas Knight A350!
