Indian behemoth Micromax today announced its partnership with Taiwanese Giant MediaTek and Indian telecom operator Aircel to offer several offers to Micromax customers. For now, the offers will be available omn 4 Micromax devices with MediaTek Chipset- MMX 377G Dongle and 3 FunBook Mini tablets – 410i, A090 and X070.
With MMX 377G Dongle, Aircel customers can get some data benefits for the first 6 months. For the first 3 Months users will get 2GB/ month data and for the next three months, users will get double data value for every recharge.
With smartphones and tablets, customers will get 1 GB of Mobile Data per month for first three months. For the same time duration, all local calls will be charged at 1.2p per 2 seconds and all STD calls at 1.2 p per second. Other benefits include WAP content worth Rs. 10,000 and Popkorn TV App free.
With feature phones, you can avail 500 MB free Mobile data Wap content worth Rs. 10,000 and subsidized call rates of 1.2p per 2 seconds and 1.2 p per second for local and STD calls respectively for the first three months.
Micromax has revealed similar offers in the past also and these offers will definitely reduce the effective cost of Micromax Devices. Most other carriers will also offer you call rate subsidy as special recharges, lets see how far this “Tri- partnership” helps Micromax penetrate its low end devices in Indian Market.
