Micromax YU Brand of Smartphones with CyanogenMod Confirmed for December, 2014 Release

We have heard several rumors about Micromax working on a Cyanogen Mod smartphone so far, and today, The domestic manufacturer has officially confirmed its association with Cyanogen Inc, while also introducing the ‘Yu’ brand of devices which will feature new Operating system developed by Cyanogen.

This new portfolio of devices will be retailed online, and thus you can expect them to be aggressively priced in India. To know more you won’t have to wait much longer as availability has been scheduled for December 2014!

Micromax YU smartphone will be here right in time to greet OnePlus One, another CyanogenMod running phone expected to arrive in India in December. A light Android ROM from Cynogen will definitely be appealing, especially on budget Android phones.

Google has also done several things right with the new Material design and Android 5.0 Lollipop. Stock Android is prettier and handier than ever before and is in a great position to challenge all third party options.
