Yu Televentures, Micromax’s subsidiary has posted a teaser of its upcoming smartphone on the social media handles such as Facebook and Twitter. The teaser tips that the upcoming smartphone that will the sequel to Yureka will be codenamed Project Caesar and that it will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The teaser mocks the Chinese vendor Xiaomi’s Mi devices that are based on Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled while the entry level devices are arriving with Lollipop. The teaser reads, “KitKat in the age of Lollipop? Give Me a break!” Notable, the letter ‘M’ in ‘Me’ resembles the Mi logo of Xiaomi. Also, the tag line reads, “Project Caesar: Stay tuned, the fYUture is coming!”
The firm also has come up with another teaser on Facebook that reads, “Lollipop comes pre-loaded with Project Caesar! Why would YU buy anything else?”
However, the details pertaining to Project Caesar are scarce. Anyways, we can get to know more about the device once its launch date draws close.
In a recent report, Micromax’s Co-Founder, Rahul Sharma hinted a device with Android Lollipop based Cyanogen OS and a customized version of CM12S will go official in April.
So long, Micromax has been successful with the Yureka smartphone that has been launched with Cyanogen operating system preinstalled. It has been popular even after its online sale strategy similar to the other vendors such as Xiaomi and Motorola.
