Moto E is now official. Press images and specifications were leaked ahead of the launch and rumor mill did exceeding well this time. The Moto E, is set to take entry level android market by storm as it promises to be the best in its class similar to Moto E, and has been launched at awesome price tag of only 6,999 INR.
Moto E comes with a 4.3 inch IPS LCD display with qHD resolution. The display resolution and quality are pretty impressive in this price range and the scratch resistant coating is also much appreciated, and the display size wont be a deal breaker considering the low price.
Under the hood you will get 1.2 GHz dual core Snapdragon 200 chipset. The Modest chipset is aided by 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage which can be further extended using MicroSD card support. Software is Android 4.4 Kitkat and Motorola has guaranteed Software upgrade to next version of KitKat.
The imaging hardware is bearing the brunt of price cuts. Moto E offers a 5 MP camera at the rear unaided with LED flash. It’s also missing a front unit, which won’t be a deal breaker for many. Moto G’s 5 MP rear camera wasn’t impressive and we don’t expect this to be any different.
The battery capacity is 1980 mAh and Motorola promises that this will last one whole day with mixed usage. Budget Android phones often disappoint in this segment, but its good to know that Moto E has addressed the issue. Connectivity features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS with AGPS and GLONASS. Moto E will also come preloaded with Moto Assist, Moto Alert and Moto Migrate. Like Other Moto devices Back cover is removable.
