Motorola is all set to enter the Indian market once again and the company has chosen to go the e-commerce way before going the brick and mortar store way regarding the launch of the Moto G (Quick Review). Motorola will be initially launching the smartphone in partnership with leading e-commerce retailers like Snapdeal and Flipkart. Flipkart is offering a slew of offers if you buy the smartphone on the day of launch whereas Snapdeal has started taking pre-bookings of the device too. It managed to grab 1,000 bookings within just 2 hours of same being opened.
The 4.5 inch smartphone Display comes with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with the pixel standing at 326 pixels per inch (Does the iPhone sound familiar in this regard). The screen will surely be a pretty bright unit and will come with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for ensuring protection against those occasional scratches and falls. Present under the hood of the smartphone will be a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which will team up with an Adreno 305 GPU. It will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean but would get the Android 4.4 KitKat treatment as well in future.
It comes with memory options of 8GB and 16GB with no option expand the same due to the absence of a microSD card slot. A 1GB RAM will be taking charge of the department dealing with multitasking. You also get 50GB of cloud storage. At the back is a 5 MP camera coupled with a LED flash. The camera will be capable enough to record videos in 720p @ 30 fps with the front camera unit being a 1.3 MP camera. Connectivity bases are pretty much well covered with the 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP.
The Moto G will be a pretty customisable device as it has about 7 colours of the back panel coming in a later stage. It has a 2,070 mAh battery under the hood which is expected to deliver a day and half’s usage. Snapdeal is a leading online e-commerce website and the same will play a key role in the success of the Moto G. Like when Flipkart launched offers for the same, how could Snapdeal be left behind.
