Moto G5S gets massive price cut in India ahead of Moto G6 series launch

Motorola has slashed down the price of its popular Moto G5S smartphone in India. The mid-range phone, which was priced at Rs 14,999 can now be purchased for just Rs 9,999 only on Amazon.

The price cut comes as Motorola is gearing up to launch the Moto G6 series this month. However, the company also claims that the promotional sale of Moto G5S is to mark the 45th anniversary of the world’s first cell-phone call made through the Motorola mobile.

Motorola Moto G5s is a mid-range phone, which was launched along with Moto G5s Plus back in August 2017. It sports a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Camera wise, Moto G5S sports 16MP primary camera with (1.1um, f/2.0, PDAF) and 5MP front facing the camera with LED flash.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB. The Dual Nano SIM phone with dual-standby runs Android v7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The phone packs a 3000mAH battery with 15W Turbocharging.

The Moto G5s is now available at Rs 9,999 for the 32GB storage variant down from the original price of Rs 14,999.

As per the latest reports, Motorola is launching three Moto G6 variants – Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus on April 19 at an event in Sao Paulo Brazil. The smartphones are expected to launch in India within a few days after the global launch.
