moto x4

Motorola was supposed to announce the latest smartphone in its X series for a long time. Now, a new Moto phone bearing model number XT1789-05 has been spotted on Geekbench. The phone is allegedly the Moto X4.

As per the listing on benchmarking website, the smartphone will be powered by 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660. The benchmark listing also reveals that the Moto X4 will be based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The smartphone has scored 824 points in the single-core test and 3886 points in the multi-core test respectively.

Earlier it was expected that Lenovo-owned company will unveil both the Moto X4 and Z2 Force at the event on July 25 in New York. However, Motorola has only launched the Moto Z2 Force, the phone with Shatter-Shield technology.

Earlier, Evan Blass of VentureBeat revealed some specs of the phone such as the processor. According to that report, the smartphone was believed to feature the recent octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor. But, this latest report contradicts the earlier reports of the Moto X4 featuring Snapdragon 630.

Moto X4 Specifications

The Moto X4 is likely to feature a 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p display.  Along with this, it might be having a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via microSD card slot up to 256 GB.

If we talk about the camera, we can expect the presence of a dual camera setup at the rear of the smartphone. The dual camera setup will most likely comprise of 12MP and 8MP sensors. The front camera is supposed to be a 16MP.

The phone will most likely pack a battery around 3000mAh. The smartphone is also supposed to be launched with the IP68 certification that will make it dust and water resistant.

The connectivity options might include support for 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and GLONASS. Another interesting feature might be the front-mounted fingerprint sensor with gesture support, similar to what we have already seen in likes of Moto G5, G5 Plus, and Z2 Play.

Apart from above-mentioned specs, the Geekbench listing does not reveal any further information about the Moto X4 battery such as camera and other aspects of the smartphone. However, from earlier reports and latest trends, we can assume the other specs as well.

There is still no confirmation about the launch of the phone.
