Moto Z2 Play With Moto Mods Support Launched In India For Rs. 27,999

Motorola today launched the Moto Z2 Play in India. The company had launched the device a week ago along with some new Moto Mods. The device has been priced at Rs. 27,999 in India. It will be sold via retail stores and online exclusively by Flipkart. The pre-booking for the device will begin from today, i.e. June 8 and last up to June 14. The device will go on sale from June 15.

Moto Z2 Play Specifications

The Motorola Moto Z2 Play runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The device features a 5.5 inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device comes with a pixel density of ~401 PPI. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Motorola Moto Z2 Play runs on an Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor with eight cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU. Moto has launched the 4GB variant in India, with 64GB internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

Coming to the camera department, the Motorola Moto Z2 Play features a 12 MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, phase detection and laser autofocus and dual LED flash. The camera comes with features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and Auto-HDR. On the front, the device sports a 5 MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture and a color correlated temperature (CCT) dual-LED flash.

The Moto Z2 Play is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, which is a substantial downgrade from the 3,510 mAh battery of the Moto Z Play. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 3.1 and FM Radio. The device comes with a finger print sensor integrated in the home button.

Just like its predecessor, the Moto Z2 Play also supports Moto Mods. It will support all the Moto Mods that were launched with the Moto Z Play and also comes with new Moto Mods. Here are the new Moto Mods.

The Moto Z2 Play has been priced at Rs. 27,999 in India. The device will be available for pre-booking starting from June 8. The company has unveiled some pre-booking offers. The device will go on sale starting from June 15 and will be available from retail stores across the country. It will be sold online exclusively by Flipkart. It will be available in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold color options.
