Motorola has been successful in the Indian market with the launch of its entry level and mid range smartphones including the Moto E. Of course, these smartphones were specced right and priced appropriately, but that is not the only reason behind the firm’s success. Motorola has been prompt in rolling out the latest Android updates to its offerings and they are similar to stock Android.
Notably, the vendor delayed the rollout of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its devices due to some glitches in the platform including battery drain, app crashes and others. Google rolled out the Android v5.0.1 Lollipop with the fixes for these issues and it appears like the entry level Moto E is getting the soak tests done for the update.
The soak test for Moto E was first reported by stjsgadgets-portal and following the same, Motorola India started sending invites to Moto E users in the nation. Notably, Motorola employed similar strategy by sending soak test invites to the Moto G and Moto X users in the country as well.
Lately, Motorola had explained the reason why it did not push the Android Lollipop update to its smartphones. It was claimed that a stable version of the update is anticipated and it will be sent to the smartphnes from the vendor. Anyways, a specific time frame for the rollout of the update to the Moto E remains to be announced.
