Fresh leaks are pouring in about the affordable Nokia 2 just one day ahead of the launch here in India. The smartphone is expected to be an entry-level device from Nokia to target the sub Rs. 5,000 market.
Nokia 2 is expected to release on October 31 here in India – HMD Global has also sent out media invites with respect to an event scheduled for tomorrow. The latest leaks surrounding the device is an AnTuTu Benchmark screenshot coming from SpecsPrice Nigeria. The leaked screenshot shows the phone’s name as Nokia TA-1035 with an HD display, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, a Snapdragon processor and more.
Nokia 2 specifications
The Nokia 2 is anticipated to be an affordable entry-level smartphone from HMD Global, expected to be priced in the sub Rs. 5,000 category. It is rumoured to come with an HD resolution display and 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
Coming to hardware, the Nokia 2 is expected to feature a Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor which is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 210 processor. This processor is tipped to be coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. While these specifications are shown in the leaked AnTuTu Benchmark screenshot, there is no word about the expandable storage.
In terms of software, the screenshot states that the phone will come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. So far, HMD Global has maintained the track record of stock Android offering. Also, the company has been one of the first few ones to provide the latest security patches on their smartphones.
While there are no definite leaks about the battery, the Nokia 2 is anticipated to be backed a 4,000 mAh battery which is likely to give it more than one day of power. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, Micro USB, and a 3.5mm jack.
With the Nokia 2 coming to India, the budget smartphone market will get a big player to compete against.
