Nokia 7.1 launched with 5.84 inches HDR10 display: Price, Specifications

HMD GLobal released the Nokia 7.1 smartphone at an event in London in the mid-range series with a sleek design at an affordable price. The smartphone comes with a big display which supports HDR10 content playback. The smartphone comes with the same Nokia design which we see in recent Nokia smartphones including Nokia 6.1 Plus.

Nokia 7.1 comes with a 5.84 inches FHD+ 1080 x 2280 display which Nokia is calling “PureDisplay.” It comes with a notch on the top and a rather thick chin at the bottom of the display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone can also do a real-time HDR conversion to standard videos.

The Nokia 7.1 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor which is paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. The storage is also expandable via microSD card slot.

Coming to optics, the Nokia 7.1 comes with an 8MP selfie shooter which comes with f/2.0 aperture and features AI face unlock. On the rear is a 12MP + 5MP sensor which comes with Carl Zeiss optics. The smartphone comes with Bothie feature which let you click pictures or record videos off both the cameras at the same time.


The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and falls under the Android One program. The smartphone will get the Android 9 Pie update soon and two more updates have been promised by the company.

Nokia 7.1 Pricing

The Nokia 7.1 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant costs $349 (Rs. 25688 roughly) and the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant costs 349 Euros (Rs. 29570.). The smartphone will be available for preorders starting from today October 5 and the shipments will start from October 28. There is no word on its availability in India.
