Nokia 8.1 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant was launched in India today. HMD Global launched the Nokia 8.1 in a single 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant back in December. Back then, the company had announced that the 6GB/128GB variant would be made available in the country in January. Now, the 6GB variant has been launched and it will go on sale starting from next week.
Price, availability, launch offers
Nokia 8.1 6GB/128GB variant is priced at Rs. 29,999 in India. To recall, the 4GB/64GB variant was launched at Rs. 26,999. The new variant will go on sale from February 6 via Amazon India and Nokia online store. You can pre-book it on Nokia store from February 1.
Talking about launch offers, Airtel prepaid customers will get up to 1TB 4G data on eligible packs starting from Rs. 199. While Airtel postpaid customers will get 120GB additional data, 3 months of Netflix and one year of Amazon Prime subscriptions.
There is an additional exchange discount of Rs. 2,500 between Feb 6 and Feb 17 and Rs. 1,500 discount between Feb 18 and Feb 28 on Amazon.in. HDFC Bank customers will get 10 percent cashback from Feb 6 to 17 and 5 percent cashback from Feb 18 to 28 on EMI transactions. Buyers will get Rs. 3,000 gift card on Nokia store.

The Nokia 8.1 sports a 6.18-inch full-HD+ (1080×2244 pixels) display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio and HDR10 support. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage that is expandable up to 400GB.
It sports a dual rear camera setup with Zeiss optics comprising a 12 MP primary camera and a 13MP secondary fixed-focus lens for depth sensing. It also supports OIS, EIS, and a dual-LED flash. Up front, it has a 20MP selfie camera.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, VoWiFi, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. It packs a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
The smartphone runs stock Android 9 Pie and since it is Android One phone so it will get timely software updates. The Nokia 8.1 6GB/12GB model will be available in Blue/Silver and Iron/Steel colour options.
