HMD Global’s flagship, the Nokia 8 is expected to launch today in London. The company is hosting a launch event for a device today which is speculated to be the Nokia 8. Mid-range phones like the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are already in the market.

With the launch of Nokia 8, the company will be on the same playing field as Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus. Rumoured to come with Snapdragon 835 processor, up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, the Nokia 8 might just firmly plant HMD Global in the flagship business.

The flagship smartphone from HMD Global, the Nokia 8 has some features we’re waiting for. Firstly, it may come with Zeiss Optics, which may power its Dual camera and bring back the Carl Zeiss photography experience to Nokia devices.

Also, so far the company is playing in the mid range with the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 so the Nokia 8 is their leap into the flagship market, taking the giants head-on. The event is London is probably launching the Nokia 8 for London.

Nokia 8 is expected to be Nokia’s flagship in a new range of smartphones from the Finnish company. Among rumoured specifications, you may get a 5.3-inch IPS-LCD display. Also, it is expected to pack a Dual camera module with 2 lenses of 12MP each, and a 12MP front-facing camera for selfies.

Coming to hardware, the Nokia 8 may feature a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. This processor is speculated to be paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with up to 256GB storage expansion option.

On the software front, certain reports in the past indicated at the Nokia 8 running Android 8 out of the box. Although, we can be almost certain of Nokia 8 running the Android 7.1.1 Nougat. So far, Nokia phones are seen running Stock Android so expect the same on the Nokia 8.

Talking about other specs, you may get a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos sound enhancement, Type-C port, NFC, and Dual Sim connectivity. Since the London launch is not too far away, we will know all about the Nokia 8 in a while.
