Nokia 9 Specs Leaked: Iris Scanner, Dual Camera Expected

HMD Global may be preparing to launch yet another Nokia-branded Android smartphone. This time it is expected to be a full-fledged flagship device. Supposedly named as the Nokia 9, the handset will rock an Iris Scanner, 22 MP Dual Camera, OLED display, and Snapdragon 835 SoC. The release date and pricing are yet to be revealed.

After unveiling the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 entry-level to premium mid-range Android smartphones, HMD Global is now eying to compete with best of the best smartphones. The rumored Nokia 9 might be the speculated device which will stand beside industry blockbusters like the Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ and the upcoming Google Pixel 2.

Nokia 9 Alleged Specifications

The Nokia 9 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display. The phone will have a very premium build quality with metallic construction and IP68 water and dust resistance. Inside, there will be the mighty Snapdragon 835 chipset. The octa-core processor with Adreno 540 GPU will make the phone one of the most powerful Android device.

Memory-wise, Nokia’s upcoming flagship will supposedly rock 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM combined with up to 128 GB storage. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system. Speaking of security, there will be an Iris scanner as well as a fingerprint sensor.

A dual lens 22 MP Carl Zeiss camera will lie at the back of the Nokia 9. The front will house a decent 12 MP selfie unit. The future phone is expected to come with Nokia OZO audio enhancements for optimum media consumption.

Coming to the battery, the Nokia 9 will sport a 3800mAh cell with Quick Charge 4 support. Connectivity options will be there as usual.

All these bits of information are purely based on rumors. So, please take all these with a pinch of salt for now.
