Here is what Nokia Might Bring to MWC 2014

Nokia has already rolled out invites for the press event at Mobile World Congress on 24th Feb in Barcelona next week and at the event Nokia is expected to unveil from 4 to 6 devices which includes a new flagship phone in the Lumia series and much awaited Nokia X aka Normandy.

Nokia held its last independent event Nokia World in October last year, where it launched 6 new phones including Lumia 1520, Lumia 1320, and the Lumia 2520 tablet and 3 new additions to the Asha series portfolio. It would be interesting to watch whether Nokia repeats the same feat again under the shadows of Microsoft Acquisition.

The highlight of the show will be Nokia Lumia 1820, the new flagship phone with is reportedly codenamed Goldfinger and this phone will reportedly support 3D touch, which enables the phone to read gestures like side touches and swipe over the screen for navigation. The display is expected to be 5.2 inches in size with 2k pixel resolution. The phone is also rumored to have Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.

Other phones include two variants of Nokia 1520, The Nokia Lumia 1525 and Lumia 1520V. The Lumia 1525 is quite interesting as it will feature a 6 inch display and similar specifications to Lumia 1820. The phone will also pack a massive Megapixel camera module along with a solar charging display!!

The Nokia Lumia 1520 on the other hand will be a compact Lumia 1520 with a 4.3 inch display. The display will sport full HD resolution and other rumored features include 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The phone will also sport the new Windows Phone 8.1 (Blue) operating system which is not yet official.

Another highlight is Nokia Normandy aka Nokia X which will be a low end device placed somewhere between Asha series and Lumia series. The phone is rumored to be based on heavily customized Android instead of Windows phone OS and has been leaked several times.

Apart from this Nokia may also launch its 8 inch tablet Nokia Lumia 2020 and a dual SIM Lumia phone named MoneyPenny. We have high expectations and are enthusiastic about Nokia’s event which is expected to showcase amazing hardware and software. We will cover the Nokia Event from MWC next month and present all details that surface, in our coverage. Stay tuned!
