Nubia Red Magic gaming smartphone with LED strip launched in China

Nubia has announced a new smartphone called Red Magic, a dedicated gaming smartphone with an LED strip at the back of it. Xiaomi had also released a gaming smartphone called Black Shark recently and it seems to have started a trend to create gaming smartphone. Nubia took the gaming smartphone to another level by adding an RGB LED strip which looks good on the back and users can do some cool tricks with it.

Nubia added an aggressive design on the Red Magic smartphone with lots of things going on at the back. If you take your eyes off the LED strip (if you can), you’ll see the diamond-shaped edges and four openings, three of which said to be for cooling purposes while gaming. The smartphone comes with a dedicated performance slider on the side to quickly switch to Performance mode.

The Nubia Red Magic smartphone comes with a 6 inches LTPS display with 2160×1080 resolution. The whole display is covered with a piece of NEG Dinorex T2X-1 glass. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor which, while not latest,  can get the job done easily. The smartphone comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM according to the storage options, 64GB or 128GB.

The Nubia Red Magic phone features a 24MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and the selfie camera is an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture size. The smartphone features a huge 3800 mAh battery with fast charging. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and a loudspeaker with DTS support sound.


Nubia Red Magic price and availability

The price of the Nubia Red Magic smartphone is $399 and it will be available on April 26 and in China, the smartphone can be pre-ordered on April 25 for starting price of CNY 2,499.
