OnePlus 6 expected to launch in India on May 18 for Rs. 39,999

The OnePlus launch is just around the corner and we have been getting a new report about the phone every now and then. Previously some reports had suggested that OnePlus could launch the OnePlus 6 sometime around the last week of April or first week of May and now, a report has revealed the phone could be launched in mid-May.

According to a report by Money Control, the OnePlus 6 will be launched in India on May 18. However, OnePlus is yet to officially announce the launch date of its next flagship device. Alongside the tentative launch date, the new report has also revealed the expected pricing of the OnePlus 6 and it is expected to have a price tag of Rs. 39,999. It is not clear if this is the price of the top model or the base model. Also, these are all expected pricing details, and the exact pricing of OnePlus 6 will be revealed only after the launch.

OnePlus 6 Specifications

After so many leaks and rumors, and even reports from the company itself, we already know the complete expected specs list of the OnePlus 6. The phone is expected to feature an FHD+ super AMOLED screen with 6.28-inch size this time. OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will sport the latest trend and come with iPhone X-like notch on top with minimal bezels on each side. CEO Pete Lau also said that users would be able to hide the notch.

The phone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 chip, with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage options. The OnePlus 6 will also come with Android Oreo 8.0 with updated Oxygen OS on top.

Also, the smartphone will be water-resistant as the company has released a video last week confirming it will be water resistant. Similar to OnePlus 5T, the device will feature a 16MP + 20MP primary camera with a f/1.7 aperture on both sensors. There will be a 20MP front camera.

OnePlus 6 will pack 3,450mAh battery with new Dash Charge v2.0 support which can offer full-day talk-time with just 20 minutes charging and it will support wireless charging as well.
