Oppo A71 launched with 13MP camera, Android 7.1 Nougat

Oppo has silently added a new smartphone to their ‘A series’. The new Oppo A71 is listed on the company’s Malaysia e-store. The device is available in Malaysia with a 5.2-inch display, MediaTek Octa-core processor, 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

Apart from the Malaysia e-store, the phone is also seen on the Pakistan e-store. There is no word about the Global availability of the Oppo A71 so far. The device comes with a metal unibody and it runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.1 on top.

Oppo A71 imageTo start with, you get a metal unibody on the Oppo A71 with a lustre edge design for sleekness. You get a 5.2-inch HD display with 16 million colors. A 13MP primary camera sits at the back while a 5MP front facing camera is given for selfies and video calling.

In terms of hardware, the Oppo A71 packs a MediaTek MT6750 octa core processor, clocked at 1.5GHz. This processor is accompanied by 3GB RAM and 16GB Internal memory. You also get up to 256GB expansion option using a microSD card on the Oppo A71.


Talking about the performance part, the device comes with Android 7.1 Nougat. It comes with ColorOS which is an optimized skin for Oppo phones along with features like night shield for eye protection and optimized multitasking.

Powered by a 3,010 mAh battery, the Oppo A71 is a dual SIM smartphone. Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Box contents include the Oppo A71, In-ear earphones, micro USB cable, SIM ejector tool, a case for the phone, and documentation.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo A71 is seen listed on the Malaysian and Pakistani e-stores. On the Malaysia store, the device is priced at MYR 858 which roughly translates to Rs. 12,900. This implies that whenever the Oppo A71 is launched in India, it will probably be in the budget smartphone category.
