Panasonic P99 launched in India: price, specs and availability

Panasonic has launched the latest smartphone P99, in its ‘P series’ in India. The 4G VoLTE supported smartphone is priced at Rs. 7,490 and is available from Panasonic brand shops and other retail outlets across the country.

The latest entry-level phone from Panasonic is the successor of last year’s P88. Surprisingly, the phone sees no significant improvement and also priced less than the P88.  It has a 5-inch HD display, powered by a quad-core processor, and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Panasonic P99 Specifications

Coming to the detailed specifications, the phone features a 5 inch HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It supports dual SIM and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

In the hardware department, it packs 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. Memory wise it has 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB with microSD.


For imaging, the Panasonic P99 features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash. At the front, it has a 5MP front-facing camera. Dimension wise it measures 144.6×71.8×8.6mm and weighs 145 grams.

Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG support. The phone is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery.

Pricing and Availability

The Panasonic P99 is priced at Rs. 7,490. It comes in Champagne Gold, Black, and Blue color options. Panasonic P99 will be available from Panasonic brand shops and authorized retail outlets across the country starting from today.
