Redmi Note 7 not launching in India on February 12, could be soon though

Redmi India tweeted a photo last week hinting at the new Redmi Note 7 launch in India. The tweet did not mention a specific launch date though. Now, earlier this week there were reports making rounds on the internet that the phone will be launched in India on February 12 at an event in New Delhi. However, these reports are not true.

Xiaomi‘s sub-brand Redmi announced its first phone Redmi Note 7 in China last month and the company promised to launch it in India soon. There’s no word from the company regarding the Redmi Note 7 launch date in India as of now.

Also, the reports claiming it February 12 are fake as no such invite has been sent by the company yet. The company has already confirmed that the smartphone will soon be launched in India. However, they are yet to confirm the Redmi Note 7 launch date in India.

The key highlight of the smartphone is its 48MP primary rear camera having Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor that has four-in-one pixel tech. It also has a 5MP secondary rear camera for portrait shots.

Other features include 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340 ×1080 pixels) waterdrop notch display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, Snapdragon 660 chipset with up to 6GB RAM, and Android Pie with MIUI 10. The device has a gradient glass back panel and houses a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support.

There’s also no word on the Redmi Note 7 price in India but we expect it to be similar to China pricing. The Redmi Note 7 price in China starts at 999 yuan (Rs. 10,390 approx.) for the 3GB/32GB version.
