Motorola has made headlines in India a month back with the launch of Moto G. Well, Reliance Communications has now launched the CDMA version of Moto G with 8 GB storage for a price of Rs 13,490. Interestingly, the handset is also available for consumers with zero down payment and EMI plans. This is quite similar to the plan that Reliance offered for the Apple’s 2013 lineup – iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Also, Reliance has bundled special tariff plans with the Moto G and the freebies include unlimited calls – both local and STD, free national roaming, unlimited 3G data and 3,000 SMS per month. The EMI payment options are available for ICICI credit card users and buyers can choose to pay Rs 2,334 per month for 6 months and Rs 1,205 per month for 12 months.

Now, Reliance will be offering only the CDMA variant hinting that there is no SIM card slot in the handset. It will be similar to the Moto G variants offered in U.S. by carriers such as Verizon and Boost.

Talking of the specifications, the Reliance  Moto G is also fitted with a 4.5 inch display boasting a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels translating to a pixel density of 329 pixels per inch. The device is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz accompanied with 1 GB of RAM.

Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the handset packs a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus along with HDR shooting mode. Also, there is a 1.3 MP front-facer to make video calls. To meet the storage requirements of the users, the Moto G has 8 GB of internal memory capacity that cannot the expanded as the device is devoid a micro SD expansion slot.

Connectivity is handled by 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and a 2,070 mAh battery powers the phone delivering up to 24 hours of backup on moderate usage.
