Besides the highly anticipated Galaxy A lineup, Samsung appears to be working on a new lineup of devices with the Galaxy E series. Couple of smartphones belonging to its lineup have been leaked lately and they are the Galaxy E5 (SM-E500) and Galaxy E7 (SM-E700).
A SamMobile report has revealed the complete specifications of the Galaxy E lineup devices. It is claimed that they will arrive with Android 5.0 Lollipop preinstalled and carry similar specifications as the Galaxy A5 and yet to be announced Galaxy A7.
Detailing on their specifications, the Galaxy E7 is said to house a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with a HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and incorporate a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. The device is claimed to boast of a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front facer to handle the imaging department. Other aspects of the Galaxy E7 as revealed by the report include 16 GB of native storage capacity and a 2,950 mAh battery.
Next on the list is the Galaxy E5 that is likely to be a mid-ranger with a 5 inch HD Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution. The innards appear to be the same as the Galaxy E7 and it is said to feature an 8 MP main camera at its back, a 5 MP front facer and a 2,300 mAh battery. While the Galaxy E7 is speculated to measure 7.2 mm in thickness, the Galaxy E5 is said to be thinner measuring only 6.9 mm.
The report goes on stating that the Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 will be incorporating non-removable batteries. If remains unknown if these smartphones will boast of metallic bodies as the Galaxy A lineup. We can expect Samsung to announce these smartphones for the Indian market early next year.
