Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) Spotted With Snapdragon 430, 2GB RAM

Samsung is again planning to introduce a new smartphone to its very popular J-series. The new device is Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) and is expected to launch soon across the globe. It was spotted on GFXBench which is a benchmarking website. It was also spotted on GeekBench and Zauba earlier before today. The new spotting reveals the model number of the Galaxy J3 (2017) is SM-J327. This will be a lower mid range device which is basically for the budget smartphone users.

Believing the benchmarks, it will be sporting a 5-inch HD (720p) LCD IPS display. It will be running on a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It will having 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further expandable via micro-SD card slot.

On the camera side, it will come with a 5MP rear shooter and a 2MP front facing camera. Rear camera comes with features like auto focus, LED flash, HDR, face detection and touch to focus and is capable of shooting full-HD (1080p) videos. It will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top.

Connectivity options will be including 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS. 3.5mm audio jack and a micro USB. Sensors include gyroscope, accelerometer, compass and proximity.


Benchmark also revealed that out of 16 GB you will get 10 GB of usable storage and approximately 1.3 GB free out of 2 GB RAM.

Price and Availability

As of now there is no official word on its official launch, price or availability but we expect it to launch by the end of December. However this device was spotted on an Indian export import site Zauba with the price of Rs 6,843 and we expect the price to be around this by the official launch. This device can be a great option for the people looking for budget oriented smartphone.
