Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) specifications

While the phone is unannounced, rumours and leaks have unveiled some of the key specifications of the upcoming Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) – it is expected to feature a 4.8-inch HD (1280 x 720p) resolution display, which will most likely be an AMOLED panel.

In terms of optics, you may find a 12MP primary camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. There are no tips about the LED flash and aperture on both lenses. Coming to hardware, the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime is tipped to feature an Exynos 7570 processor coupled with a Mali-T720 GPU along with 3GB RAM.

Talking about the OS, Samsung puts up a custom skin on their Android phones. This device is expected to come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with a quick update to Android Oreo. The Samsung Experience UI also adds certain customization options and optimizes the overall performance of the phone.

The recent FCC listing of the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime has unveiled the device’s connectivity options. The listing shows Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy (LE), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE. This means the phone will not get the latest Bluetooth 5.0 but relies on an older version. Also, NFC presence is not yet known on the device.

We can also speculate the phone to come with a durable build and a competitive price. Also, if we go by the leaks, the device will feature a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio display.
