After the launch of Samsung Galaxy Star we are here again with another budget phone which Samsung has launched in their Galaxy series but it is little bit expensive than their Galaxy Star and so obviously we expect the better specifications on this phone. Though when we talk of the budget phones then Samsung cannot actually outrun the feature provided by Micromax, Karbonn, Wickedleak or others but still there are large number of users who have faith on this brand only. The processor is really obsolete as it is a Single Core processor (something which we have left way behind) which has been clocked at the frequency of 850MHz (not even 1GHz) and based on the Arm architecture of Cortext A-9. The best part about this phone is the Operating system which is Jelly Bean (Android v4.1) which is an attracting feature even at this low performing hardware.
Moreover the display size of the device is 3-inches (again something which we have not seen in a while on a smartphone), the screen has the resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and it is TFT screen with capacitive touch. The performance is supported by 512MB RAM (which is little decent).
The internal storage capacity of the smartphone is 4GB which also supports the external microSD card (which can further take the memory up) and as we know that in Jelly Bean we have the support of installing the applications on the external memory card then this might be helpful if you want to have large number of applications on your phone.
This phone has only one camera which is available at the back and it is of 2MP (now the absence of the front camera can turn off for the users). Now flash support will be available for the camera and the video recording done by this camera will also be of low resolution. But this phone also supports 3G connectivity which is an advantage for the users looking at this phone.
The battery strength of the device is 1200 mAh which can assure you the talk-time of 6 hours on 3G network and then 300 hours of standby time (something which is exactly average). This is a Dual SIM with both the slots supporting the 3G connectivity and this phone also has all the common connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB and others.
Now as per the specifications on the paper I can easily conclude that this device cannot handle the large of applications or HD games but users who are willing to buy a smartphone only to connect socially with their friends can go for this device.
