Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ India prices revealed, starting at Rs 62,500

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ at the Unpacked event held on the eve of the MWC 2018. The Samsung Galaxy S9 global price starts at $719.99 excluding taxes while the Galaxy S9+ is priced at $839.99. Now, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ price in India has surfaced online.

The Indian pricing of Samsung’s new Galaxy S9 and S9+ has been revealed by an India Blogger Sanjay Bafna on Twitter. According to him, the Galaxy S9 price in India starts at Rs 62,500. Moreover, the pre-booking of Galaxy S9 and S9+ is open at the Samsung online store in India. Customers can book the phones by paying a nominal amount of Rs. 2,000 as of now and remaining at the time of shipping.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ India Prices

The Samsung Galaxy S9 64GB variant price in India will be Rs. 62,500 while the 256GB Galaxy S9 will cost Rs. 71,000 in India. If we talk about the Galaxy S9+ 64GB, it will be priced at Rs. 70,000 in India.  The 256GB Galaxy S9+ India price will be Rs. 79,000.

Also, please note as per his tweet, these are the MRP (Maximum Retail Price) of the Galaxy S9 phones. While the MOP or Market Operating Price might be less than MRP as retailers may offer a discount or there may be some launch offers as well.


Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ Specifications

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S9 features a 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy S9+ has a 6.2-inch display. Both panels are Quad HD+ with Samsung’s Super AMOLED Infinity display. The smaller Galaxy S9 has a single 12MP rear camera while the Galaxy S9+ gets 12MP+12MP dual camera set up with a variable aperture between f/1.5 and f/2.4. Both phones come with an 8MP front-facing camera.

Coming to hardware, the Galaxy S9 devices are powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC in the USA and Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 processor in the global markets including India. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9 Plus run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
