Samsung New Gear VR And Controller Priced At $129

The South Korean manufacturer has recently introduced its next flagship, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. In addition to this, Samsung also revealed its first Gear VR headset with controller powered by Oculus along with the details of its availability. The Samsung’s new Gear VR and Controller will be available from April 21 and is priced at $129. The sales will first commence in the US market and if you already posses a VR then you can have the controller for $39.

The new Gear VR from Samsung possess ergonomic design which offers better interaction. The controller helps in various motion inputs that result in better VR experience with the touchpad. It also helps in minimized movement for long time use with the home, volume and back keys located on the controller.

According to Oculus, there will be 20 compatible titles next month that support the controller and another 50 games will be added in the coming few months. In addition to this, Oculus Avatars will be added to the Gear VR. By using these avatars, you can create and dress up your own avatar.

The new Gear VR will be compatible with the Galaxy series which include the latest S8, S8+, S7, S7 edge, Note 5, S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge.
