You can do various “smart thing” like operate your smartphone camera, check your mails , check maps,  choose between several different watch faces and theme and Use it as a compass, timer or stopwatch as well as a phone remote. Besides this watch is water resist which is a fun feature as well as an important day to day necessity. The watch also provides you with an easy option for pairing with your NFC enabled smartphone, all you have to do is touch it.

All these features aside, this watch sports a 1.6 Inch display with 220 x 176 (176 ppi) Pixel resolution which is less than what Samsung Galaxy Gear is offering(320 x320, 282 ppi) with the same size display.

No details about the processor have been unveiled as of yet. Sony claims that the battery is expected to last 3 to 4 days. A Major drawback is that there is no camera in this smartwatch, their is no mic or speaker either. Though you can sync it with your phone and attend calls using a headphone with having to take your phone out of the pocket, but that isn’t really “Smart”. The Apps can be downloaded from play store. With more Smartwatches popping up developers will hopefully start developing Apps for these wireless devices more aggressively.

This watch comes with Bluetooth 3.0 and USB charging. It will be available by the end of this month and has been priced at US $262. Though the Sony Smartwatch 2 scores on looks and design, it has a long way to go and lot smarter to get.
