Soon after Sony Xperia E1, Sony has announced the availability of its 6 inch dual SIM phablet, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual, priced at Rs. 25,990. The price is definitely on the higher side if you could remain content with a smaller form factor, but if you need some extra display real estate with tier one branding, the phablet is worth considering.
The 6 inch Triluminous Display, comes equipped with BRAVIA engine 2 and 720p HD resolution, which is not that impressive on a phablet sized display. The operating system is Android 4.3 jelly bean.
The processor used is quad-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) assisted by 1 GB RAM. The internal storage is 8 GB and can be further extended to 32 GB using MicroSD card. The Chipset is similar to what every other 6 inch phablet is offering in this price range, but for smaller form factor, you could get more powerful hardware.
The primary camera comes with a 13 MP Exmor RS sensor and at the front a 1 MP shooter is present for video calling. Sony has also enhanced the camera software and it now incorporates features like Background Defocus, Collage, Sweep Panorama, etc.
Inside the 7.6 mm sleek body cavity, the phone comes with 3000 mAh battery for one day worth of moderate usage. The phone will come in Purple, White and Black colors and has been priced at Rs. 25,990. The phone will compete with phablets like Gionee Elife E7, Nokia Lumia 1320 and Intex Aqua Octa.
