Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra With 6-inch Display Launched In India At Rs. 29,990

Sony has just unveiled the Xperia XA1 Ultra smartphone in India at a price of Rs. 29,990. The phone comes with 6-inch edge-to-edge display, 23MP, and 16MP cameras, MediaTek octa-core processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. It also features Xperia Actions for ease of access.

The Xperia XA1 Ultra is the successor of Xperia XA Ultra launched last year. Sony first showcased the phone earlier this year at MWC.

Talking about the build quality first, the Xperia XA1 Ultra features aluminium sides with the fingerprint reader integrated into the lock button. The device looks sleek and slim with minimal design and the company claims it to easily fit in your hands.

The Xperia XA1 Ultra comes with a big 6 inch Full HD IPS LCD display. It is a 2.5D curved display with Gorilla Glass protection. The phone features a 23MP primary camera with LED flash and Optical Image Stabilisation. A 16MP front camera is there with OIS and good low light performance.


In terms of hardware, Sony has used the MediaTek MT6757 Helio P20 SoC. It comes with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, coupled with a Mali T880MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with up to 256GB expandable storage via microSD card.

The Xperia XA1 Ultra comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The OS is slightly skinned by Sony but retains the Android experience largely. Apart from the OS, you get single-handed usage mode and Xperia Actions, which learns your preferences as you use the device.

The Xperia XA1 Ultra packs a 2,700 mAh non-removable battery. The battery size is small but it comes with Qnovo Adaptive Charging. On the connectivity front, it supports Dual nano-Sims, USB Type-C port, and NFC support.

The Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra comes in Gold, White, Black, and Pink colors. The phone is priced at Rs. 29,990. It is available with all major offline retailers.
